There is nothing worse than pretending to be someone you aren’t…
You see, there are some things you probably don’t know about me.. and I’ve kinda been hiding these things because I “lost” myself.
** I’m a total dork (hence the photo above. I was supposed to take professional pictures.. but I just couldn’t help myself. :D)
** I love to EAT fancy food. I blame this on my chef husband.
** I am an entrepreneur. Honestly, I never knew I had this in me. I’m not really “business-like” .. I’ve had to teach myself everything I know now. After I started blogging.. about 2 years into blogging I learned that I could make money doing it! Who knew? Not me! Besides blogging (which is no longer my main income) I like to dig into other ways to make money. (My husband and I now have our own Amazon business: )
** I LOVE TO TEACH! I never realized this until after someone asked me to do a coupon workshop. This was 4 years ago and I DREADED the thought of being in front of people I didn’t know and talking about couponing.. because honestly, I didn’t think I was THAT versed in it. However, the first time I taught a class I LOVED it.
6 Years ago, I took a huge risk and started putting myself out over the internet. I talked about my life living as a mom with 3 boys, living paycheck to paycheck on my husbands small chef’s salary. I found a way to break that cycle using grocery savings and we were able to see a better life using those strategies. MILLIONS (yes, LITERALLY MILLIONS..which totally blows my mind to think of it) of people came to my blog wanting to know how to do the same… and I taught them.
Over the last year, I’ve CHANGED.. Have you ever felt a time when you just KNEW it was time to move on to something else.. like your chapter in a part of your life was ready to close and you were ready to start a new one? Even though I love helping others find extra money in their lives by sharing ways to save while grocery shopping.. I felt like I had given you everything I had within me. I felt that that it was time to close that chapter and move on… It just isn’t me anymore!
So, In less than 2 weeks I will be retiring southerncalisaver.com
— Closing one chapter and opening a brand new one!
To sum it up, my new mission is focused on motivating women who are tired of living paycheck to paycheck and want to find financial clarity and financial freedom WITHOUT feeling deprived and living the life they want because YOU can live your richest life. 🙂
As far as the changes go. Here is what you can expect:
** Southern Cali Saver will become Smartmoneymom.com (you can actually check it out HERE)
** Smartmoneymom will NOT HAVE DEALS.
** I will still have southerncalisaver as a domain and will post 1-2 deals a day with coupons on this domain.. However, you will only be able to access this via a special link. Which we will post ONLY in The SCS Facebook Groups. (feel free to join here) when there are new posts on it.
** GROCERY MATCH UPS are staying on SmartMoneyMom as long as I can afford them. What does this mean? I pay to have someone to do the match ups. 🙂 With all the changes happening in the coupon world.. the pennies I get for people printing coupons has become even less. 🙁 So, as long as I can afford to pay someone to help with the coupon match ups then they will stay. Also, I work in conjunction with the app FAVADO to get the match ups… and to be completely honest.. I wouldn’t have match ups on the site if it was not for them. If they stop their app, most likely I will stop the match ups. (I’m not saying that this is happening, but businesses change ALL THE TIME!)
** I’m not going anywhere. 🙂 However, I am simply changing my focus.
For those that plan on unsubscribing– I am SOOOO grateful for the time you have spent here with me. I appreciate every.single. one of you.
